Tonics, Brews, Etc.
**Once again, I am not a doctor (I just play one on TV, heh.) Please consult a doctor before trying these home remedies, especially if you have a serious condition or are pregnant.

Hair Growth Tonic
-Handful of Stinging Nettle
-1 Tbsp. Thyme
-4 drops Rosemary Oil
-4 drops Lavender Oil
-4 drops Peppermint Oil (or 2 drops extract)

**Soak dry herbs in 1 cup of base oil (grapeseed or almond work best) for 2 weeks. Add remaining oils and mix well. Apply to wet hair once a week. (I usually leave on overnight and wash it out the next morning.)
Stop Smoking Brew
-1/2 teaspoon Cream of Tartar
-1 cup Orange Juice

**Mix well and drink every night before bedtime

Cold Sore Balm
-3 Tbsp. Honey
-2 Tbsp. Cloves (crushed)
-2 Tbsp. Marjoram (crushed)

**Mix ingredients over low heat and let simmer (stirring occasionally) for about 10-15 minutes. Strain mixture and let cool. Apply to affected area as needed. Do not ingest.
Dieter's Bath
-2 parts rosemary
-2 parts fennel
-1 part lavender (actual petals work best, but you can use a few drops of lavender oil)
-1 pinch kelp

**Repeat bath morning and night. (Best to begin 2 days after Full Moon and continue each day until New Moon.) While soaking, visualize yourself becoming thinner; on last day, visualize yourself thin.

Acne Tonic
-1 drop Cedarwood oil
-1 drop Chamomile oil
-1 drop Bergamot oil
-1 drop Cade oil
-1 drop Juniper Berry oil
-1 drop Lavender oil

**Mix in equal parts and apply to affected area (clean and dry) twice daily as needed-best to apply morning and night. Do not get in eyes. For external use only.
Fried Honeycakes for Beltane
-1/2 cup sweet white wine
-1 egg
-2/3 cup flour
-1/8 tsp. cinnamon
-1/8 tsp. salt
-2 Tbsp. sugar
-1 cup honey
-1/8 tsp. nutmeg
-Oil for frying

**Beat wine and egg in medium sized bowl. Combine flour, cinnamon, salt, & sugar in separate bowl. Add flour mixture to egg mixture and stir until well blended. Let stand for 30 minutes. Heat 1/2 inch of oil in pan until hot (over medium high heat). Drop batter 1 Tbsp. at a time and fry until golden brown. Drain. Mix honey and nutmeg in separate bowl. Once cakes are cool, dip into honey mixture and enjoy!
